First of all, I would like to thank my classmates for their introduction and encouragement, and then I would also like to thank Ms. Song for giving me this opportunity to take over the translation work for texworld.
After confirming the receipt of the job on July 11th, we contacted the client to understand the requirements, and also went online to understand the client's main business and the purpose of the exhibition, as well as to learn more professional knowledge. 23rd to 25th was the time of the exhibition, and there was not a lot of traffic during the whole period, which might be affected by the increase of tariffs in the U.S., but the target was very strong. In the end, the whole exhibition process went smoothly.
I would like to summarize the following points about this translation.
1. To do a good job in advance of the relevant preparatory work, although not all of them can be used in the field, but also consolidate and expand their knowledge.
2. Getting along well with the client during the whole period. I think this is very important, good communication plays a key role in the whole working atmosphere.
3. It is not necessary to translate the words of the customers or the guests who come to the booth word by word, but the main meaning or requirements must be translated. Sometimes several customers come into the booth at once, and if they are translated word for word, it will cause trouble for the customers.

I think I need to be more proactive and quicker in response to my own performance. I still encountered some technical terms I didn't understand during the work, but I was able to finish the work smoothly through the customer's explanation, which shows that I was not fully prepared and I need to pay more attention to it in the future. I hope that I can strengthen my ability in all aspects in the future, and also seize the opportunity to train myself, so that I can get better and better on the road of translation.
